Give Help

PATCH relies on help from our wonderful volunteers and donations from generous people, businesses, schools, churches and other organisations across our County.

All donations for our emergency Basics Bank will be gratefully received – thank you!

Food

We are always in need of tinned food, packets, and any other non-perishables that are in date. We cannot use dented tins even if they have been bought that way. We would also be grateful for fresh fruit and vegetables as well as bread and milk.

Examples of tinned goods: meat, sausage & chicken meals, ravioli, curry, macaroni, chilli, bolognese, cold meat (corned beef or Spam/ham) fish, soup, baked beans, spaghetti, kidney beans, chickpeas etc, tinned tomatoes, custard/rice pudding, pasta or rice, tinned potatoes, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit

Examples of other non-perishable foods: spaghetti or lasagna, cook-in-sauce (bottle or packet), packet noodles/savoury rice etc, cereal, coffee, tea, treats (biscuits etc), UHT milk, sugar, soft drinks, jam, marmalade, flour, pickles, sauces, gravy powder.

Household Items

We also provide some small household items, from cutlery and plates to bedding and towels. Small practical electrical items (toasters, kettles etc.) are PAT tested and given out. We are always in need of items such as: towels, pots and pans, crockery (not tea cups), cutlery, tin openers, kitchen utensils, kettles, toasters, irons, lamps, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, nappies, washing powder, shampoo/conditioner, soap, deodorant, sanitary wear, toothbrushes, tooth paste and razors.

Please note we can only take items for emergency situations as we do not have storage for other donations e.g. books, CDs, etc.

Clothing & Textiles

We need all clothing from underwear to coats and everything in between, with a particular need for men’s and boys’ clothes as there are more ladies’ items donated than anything else.

We also need large sealable cardboard boxes and carrier bags.

PATCH also requires finances for project costs such as telephone bills, paper, utilities, etc.

Any regular donations or one-off donations will be gratefully received – click here to find out how to donate.

If you would prefer to donate directly rather than through our donation platform, you can use our Standing Order Form. Please don’t forget the Gift Aid Declaration if you are a UK tax payer! This form allows us to gain 25% of your donation as contribution from the government.
